Caboolture Clay Target Club

Skeet Shooting

Skeet is a word of Scandinavian origin, though the discipline originated in America and it is 'American Skeet' we shoot at Caboolture.

Sporting Clays/ 5 Stand

This form of shooting has been likened to 'golf with a shotgun' and it's easy to see why.

Trap Shooting

There are several forms of trap shooting but the most popular recreational form and the one we shoot at Caboolture is know as Down-The-Line Trap or DTL.

Welcome to Caboolture Clay Target Club

Established in 1992, Caboolture Clay Target Club is the region's premier clay target shooting facility. Located just north of Brisbane, at 558 Uhlmann Road, Burpengary, we are one of the few clubs in the SE Qld area to offer all four major clay target shooting disciplines of Skeet, Down the Line/Trap, 5 Stand and Sporting Clays.

Staffed entirely by a team of dedicated, hard-working and enthusiastic volunteers.  Unless there are annual carnivals being held (check calendar) our club is open for practice on:

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11.00am to 4.00pm Skeet and DTL (Fridays :DTL,Skeet and 5 Stand). Licenced shooters only) and  Saturday from 11.00am until 4.30pm (Skeet, DTL and 5 Stand)

Unlicensed shooters can ONLY be accommodated on the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of each month.

Ladies and children (age 11+) are especially welcome and the club offers the use of low recoil shotguns and ammunition for those of a smaller build (by prior arrangement).

Informal coaching and instruction can also be arranged. We are fortunate in having several world-class shooters as members here who have competed internationally at the highest level and are also ACTA-accredited coaches.

We offer the use of club guns for the nominal sum of $10 (hirer must hold a current firearms license).

Firearms safety course are held regularly for those wishing to obtain their firearms licence.

Corporate days and buck's parties are catered for with enthusiasm.

The clubhouse offers light refreshments, a licensed bar and on competition days provides quality food and refreshments. EFTPOS is available for all purchases (including cashout) and for the payment of competition and memberships fees.

The club sells a wide range of ammunition suitable for all clay target disciplines.

The club has several shaded areas to shelter from the Queensland sun and there is even a shaded playground for children.

We are an Australian Clay Target Association and Sporting Shooters Association of Australia.
