Practice is held on Saturday afternoons from 01:00pm until 4:30pm except on the Saturday before a Sporting Clays competition when we hold our regular working bees (all help welcome) followed by the setting up of the layouts for the following days sporting clays competition.

Competitions are held on Sundays and members and non members are welcome to attend.

The timetable is:

• 1st Sunday - DTL/Trap. 09:30 am start
• 2nd Sunday - Skeet. 09:00 am start
• 3rd Sunday - DTL/Trap for the Sunshine Coast Clay Target Club. 09:30 am start
• 4th Sunday - Sporting Clays. 09:00am start
• 5th Sunday (where applicable)

• A “fun” shoot will be held, see calendar of events for details nearer the time.

New shooters

New shooters are welcome to take part in competitions on a ‘targets only’ basis where you compete for a reduced fee however you are not be able to receive prizes. This is a good way to experience the workings of a competition but without the pressure.

Coaching/Instruction can be arranged. Although the club currently has no ‘formally’ qualified coaches we are lucky to have some of Australia’s best and most experienced shooters on hand who are always keen to offer advice and assistance to enthusiastic newcomers to the sport free of charge. These sessions are held by appointment on Saturday mornings. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
