Obtaining a Firearms Licence in Queensland

In order to obtain a Queensland Firearms Licence, applicants must first obtain a "statement of attainment" showing that they have completed an approved safety training course for weapons (within the previous 12 month period).

At Caboolture Clay Target Club we employ the services of Glenn Walker or Asset Training Services who are both registered trainers. Both run courses at Caboolture Clay Target Club on alternate months.  The cost is $120.00.

To obtain your Queensland Firearms Licence you are also required to demonstrate a "genuine reason" to possess a firearm. Membership of an approved club such as ours is one such reason.

Upcoming courses:

  • Saturday 17th November 2018  [ Closing date for this course Thursday 15th November 2018 ]
  • Please note that our trainer requires a minimum of 15 people booked onto the course.

If you have any questions or to book a place on a course, please email safetycourse@cctc.com.au or ring Ron Bischof on:
